BYMEKAAR
BYMEKAAR is een programma dat wordt georganiseerd door Sjaan Flikweert en M.Alberto. Podiumkunstenaars worden aan elkaar gekoppeld voor spontane ontmoetingen op de vloer. Een uitnodiging aan het publiek om de magie van improvisatie te ervaren.
BYMEKAAR creëert een plek voor spel en experiment. Woordkunstenaars, muzikanten en dansers maken ter plekke, geïmproviseerd, een avontuurlijke programma dat speels en laagdrempelig is.
Samenwerkingen
In 2021 hebben we BYMEKAAR #1 georganiseerd in Splendor Amsterdam. We hebben inmiddels twintig edities georganiseerd in samenwerking met Splendor Amsterdam, Come Together Festival, Wintertuin Curaçao, Poetry International, SLAA, Read My World Festival en in samenwerking met Poetry Circle hebben we in de zomer van 2025 vijf edities van BYMEKAAR gespeeld op het BosFest.

Over Improvisatie

a notion of self, deeply situated in relationships; it involves recognition of the ways our powers and abilities have come from and been made possible by particular relationships and contexts. We are ‘autonomous’ in the sense that we have powers and abilities as well as desires, wants, and needs, but these are ‘relational’; they come from, exist in the context of, and have meaning only in relation to others.
Improvisation is community and people, offering both safety and freedom. Safety in this sense is not risk averse but an environment which supports the taking of risks. We can be attentive to each other through free improvisation: rather than a genre it is a meeting place for the exchange of ideas and co-creation. The focus is on the present moment without predetermination, with awareness of and attentiveness to happenings and the connective tissue between sounds and soundmakers. It asks more from us than simply using musical tools to express an idea; instead, meaning is constructed in real-time from the collective scenario through the interactions of avail- able resources: shared intelligence, knowledge, and skills.
